PLATE · Spore Tide

01The story

The Zerg direction is not about one creature but about growth itself: branching tissue, dispersing spores, layered carapace and biological signals travelling through damp darkness. The visual grammar is therefore asymmetric and organic, with lines dividing slowly like veins. Every SVG is original; no character, unit or faction pattern is depicted or copied. The game identifies the subject, while the colours remain an interpretation rather than official settings.

02Where the colours come from

Violet-black is the shadow beneath a carapace, berry-purple panels form a damp tissue layer, and bone white carries body text and structural explanation. Acid green is the primary accent for spore signals and live nodes; berry light becomes the secondary accent for veins and edge glow, preventing the palette from relying on a single neon.

03How the palette was built

Organic themes can easily fill every space with curves, so reading areas keep a clear hierarchy and only a few vein lines. Acid green is highly recognisable on deep violet and is therefore restricted to actions and focus. Bone white keeps long paragraphs legible while berry-violet maintains continuity with the ground.
