PLATE · Echoes of the Khala

01The story

The Protoss direction draws on precise structure, ceremonial symmetry and the restrained use of light by an ancient technological culture. It copies no faction insignia, character or architecture. Instead, that sense of order becomes geometry: the centre remains symmetrical, gold describes the structural skeleton, ivory carries reading, and psionic blue appears only at unstable energy nodes. StarCraft identifies the source subject; all values are original Theme Atlas interpretations.

02Where the colours come from

The violet-black ground lets gold read as structure rather than decoration. Panels stay in a low-lightness violet to preserve spatial continuity. Ivory keeps long text away from the ordinary cool-white science-fiction interface, while gold handles actions and focus and psionic blue becomes the secondary accent for energy and communication.

03How the palette was built

Gold has enormous presence on violet-black, so its area is controlled: it carries outlines, axes and primary actions but not large fields. Ivory and violet support long reading, and blue appears only at energy nodes and interaction feedback so the three strong colours do not compete.
