Crimson Iron Curtain
In the shadow of heavy industry, one warning red lights slowly
Iron grey, warning red and aged copper carry heavy machinery, hard structure and a low industrial alarm.
01The story
This Soviet-direction study is also bounded to Command & Conquer: Red Alert as presented in the Remastered Collection (2020); later Red Alert continuities are not mixed in. It reproduces no insignia, propaganda image or unit. Three gestures are drawn from heavy-industrial space: steel structure lowers the horizon, a warning lamp sends red into shadow, and aged copper keeps the trace of machinery in use. Game information identifies the subject only; the palette and forms are Theme Atlas artistry.
02Where the colours come from
Background and panel use two grades of iron grey, with warm aged-paper white for text. Warning red is the primary accent, lifted into a brighter red-orange range so accent contrast remains readable. Aged copper is kept for joints, scales and secondary marks, preventing red and metal from spreading across large fields at once.
03How the palette was built
A red-and-black theme easily collapses into one alarm panel, so copper and warm white split the hierarchy. Red stays highly recognisable without becoming a flat pure red, while the writing surfaces keep a stable warm-grey relationship. Heavy lines remain at edges and inside graphics; the reading area stays quiet.
